The Middlesex Development League (MDL) provides a minimum of seven players under the age of 21 the chance to compete alongside 1st XI and senior players in Sunday competition across the summer. Scheduled after school exams and the end of university terms it is the perfect way to utilise a quieter summer period.
With coloured kit and pink balls and a shorterned format the games are fast and furious.
North Middlesex have a proud tradition of integrating colts and seniors on Saturdays and further this by boasting a proud record in the MDL having won the competition in 2013 and reached the semi finals in 2014.
The MDL is also one of the out routes for players training at Academy level who want to display their skills alongside 1st XI cricketers with a view to progressing in Saturday cricket.
